What is an Escape Room?
A Real Life Escape Game (often called an Escape Room) is a live, immersive adventure game where a team is locked inside a themed room and must solve puzzles, uncover clues, and complete missions within a set timeusually 60 minutesto escape or finish the story.
What makes it real life?
Unlike video games or VR, everything happens physically:
- Actual rooms and environments
- Real props, locks, machines, sensors, hidden clues
- Hands-on teamwork and communication
What typically happens?
Players:
- Get briefed on a mission (e.g., break out of prison, stop a virus outbreak, steal a jewel).
- Enter a themed environment full of riddles, objects, and codes.
- Progress through sequential puzzle challenges.
- Try to finish before the time expires.
What skills do we need?
Room escape is a good way of brain workout - but teamwork is what will determine your success. Your team needs to cooperate and work together in finding logical and creative solutions. Our rooms have three difficulty levels: Beginner level, Intermediate level and Advanced level. There is no huge jump in terms of puzzles' difficulties except that the harder escape room requires more critical thinking and quicker puzzle solving skills. Some games may require physical movements (such as bending over or crawl through a smaller door), however, all rooms are ADA accessible, an alternative route will be provided in those cases.
How much time do we have?
You have 60 minutes to try and solve all the puzzles.
Will I play with strangers?
Absolutely not! At FLEE every booking is aPRIVATEsession. Regardless of your team size, no strangers will ever join you.
Is your game wheel chair accessible?
Our Prison Escape, Ice Walker, Steampunk Submarine, and Museum Heist rooms are maneuverable by a person in a wheelchair. However, some props may be out of reach, so others' assistant is required. In cases where a room would require you bend over or crawl through a smaller space alternative routes will be provided.
Are we really going to be locked in?
Nope! Your safety is our top priority. As such, we dont actually lock you inside of the escape room. You have the ability to leave the room at any time if necessary, and doing so will never affect your time. However, the exit door is not the same as the designated escape door, so it will not count as a successful escape.
What time should my group arrive?
We ask that you arrive 15-20 minutes before your scheduled booking. We ask this so that you have enough time to sign our waiver and hear all of the guidelines before your game. We have tight schedules, and as such, we will have to start your clock 10 minutes after your scheduled time, even if your group has not yet arrived.
Do I need to bring anything with me to escape?
All you need to bring is yourself, some friends, and a winning spirit! Everything else you need to solve the puzzles is already inside the rooms.
